FTMO changed the product after purchase and now requires traders to complete the challenge just to get a refund I purchased a specific FTMO product: a 200k Swing Account Challenge. This was not a generic evaluation. The Swing option was one of the main reasons for choosing and paying for that product, because it has different trading conditions compared to a standard FTMO account. FTMO has now removed/cancelled the 200k Swing Account option and informed traders that, after completing the current challenge and verification, they must either accept a traditional account or take a refund. In my opinion, this is not a fair or transparent solution. If FTMO can no longer provide the exact product that was purchased — a 200k Swing Account — then the refund should not be conditional on the trader completing the challenge and verification first. A trader should not have to pass two evaluation phases in order to receive a refund for a product that FTMO itself no longer intends to provide. What makes this even more problematic is that FTMO’s own Terms and Conditions state that the options selected during the order determine the parameters of that order and also apply to the subsequent Verification and FTMO Account. In other words, the product configuration chosen at purchase is part of the agreement. Their Terms also include a clause on defective performance, stating that if the services do not correspond to what was agreed, or are not provided, the customer may request a remedy, a reasonable discount, or withdraw from the affected agreement if the defect cannot be remedied. I am deeply disappointed with the rigid and unhelpful response from FTMO's payment team regarding my deposit issue (Account ID: 23738882). Due to a technical slip, my crypto deposit was routed through the X-Layer network to FTMO’s payment processor, Confirmo. The blockchain ledger (TxID: 0xcde16ad30b2339a81cc1dfc194dfcc878023bcfdbb151e0c7f35583be269fb27) clearly shows that the funds successfully arrived at the destination wallet controlled by Confirmo. While I understand the interface states Tron network should be used, the underlying truth is that Confirmo physically holds my funds. Any crypto technician knows they can easily access and reverse this transaction by importing the private keys into a compatible Web3 wallet. Confirmo refused to help under the guise of "security protocol," and FTMO is now using this to completely wash their hands of the situation. As a leading prop firm, FTMO should have the corporate leverage to protect its clients and instruct its vendors to perform manual recoveries for genuine mistakes, rather than letting customer funds sit frozen in their provider's wallet indefinitely. I urge FTMO Senior Management to look into Support Ticket 36938 and resolve this fairly. I will update this review once a reasonable corporate solution is provided. I have been trading with FTMO for years and always considered them the gold standard in prop trading. Until today. On May 15, 2026 I had a perfect setup on crude oil. Falling wedge breakout confirmed, Fibonacci conflue,nce at the 0.618 retracement level, clear bearish momentum. Oil dropped over 3% exactly as I predicted. I entered short positions on USOIL.cash and instead of profiting from a move I called correctly, I ended up with a loss. Not because my analysis was wrong. Not because the market did something unexpected. But because there was a significant price divergence between FTMO's feed and every major charting platform at the exact moment of my trades. I want to be transparent about something FTMO pointed out in their response. The TradingView chart I used for analysis was a TVC chart, which is an aggregated feed calculated by TradingView itself rather than a single broker feed. I accept that point and I think it is a fair clarification. However, this does not change the core of my complaint. It actually reinforces it. TradingView is the industry standard platform used by the vast majority of retail traders worldwide. Whether you use a TVC chart, a broker-specific feed, or any other source on TradingView, the practical reality is that traders use TradingView for analysis and their broker platform for execution. Nobody opens MT5 to do technical analysis. It is not designed for that. FTMO knows this. The entire prop trading industry knows this. You'd think you can trust one of the biggest and first prop firms ever to not scam their clients... well you would be wrong. I tried getting a funded account for more than one year, trading the same exact trading strategy that does not break any rule whatsoever. Once I finally get to a funded account, I request my first payout and receive it, then after a month or so I request my second payout and thats when they contact me saying, and I quote: "we have completed a comprehensive audit of your overall trading patterns. Unfortunately, your activity was not categorised as genuine trading. Instead, the conducted due diligence highlighted that it constitutes so-called one-sided betting.". In that same email they also linked their article describing what they consider one-sided betting, the issue is that all my trading history DOES NOT fall into what they describe as one-sided betting one bit, even more it's the complete opposite of what they describe. At the end they decided to just close my funded account and my other challenge account, but they did at least refund the challenge and gave me the pending payout. The issue still remains though: one of the most famous & succesfull prop firm ever abuses his powers to simply shut you down once you actually start making some money by saying you did something wrong even when you crearly, by their own rules and definitions, did not. This time happened to me, next it could be you. Infact after the matter I searched a bit and I saw that many other traders got it with the exact same "one-sided betting" treatment. I am prop firm trader since 2021 and let me tell you the reality behind FTMO. Trading restrictions when you start to be profitable. Why ? Because this is their main risk. Having to pay good traders is what cost them the most. So they will restrict you and you'll have to fight and argue to have your payouts. The 1% trading rule will come to you, very fast. They will manipulate the rules to their advantage and make you believe that all thoses restrictions are for your own good. I get that since those restrictions occured to me, I was able to keep my accounts longer and learn to trade with more discipline. But eventualy when the payout was due with FTMO, I always needed to fight to have it. What was happening is that when I was taking a position, having my stop loss to 1% but when the trade started to turn into profit, I was adding to my position but always trailing my SL to respect the 1% loss. But I received the same email 3 times before a payout saying that I had breach the 1% rule. The first time I received it, I was trying to understand what was going on since my floating loss never actually reached the 1% threshold. What they were doing is that they were taking my combining position of all my "add" on a green trade and they were calculating where the position went since the beginning of the trade. Exemple : I long nasdaq at 22000 with 2 lots with a stop loss of 250$. The position reach 21800. I am now down almost to my SL but doesn't touch it. Nasdaq reverse and become green so I had 1 extra lot. My position become 3 lots and I TP at 22350 (note that the position
