This company is not trustworthy. They are a scam and I will advice all and sundry to keep off if you do not want to see your money evaporating to nothing. I signed up and passed both the evaluation and verification stage. I downloaded both the evaluation and verification certificates. I noticed that two trades were open at the time of receiving the verification passing email. I tried to close the trades, but could not, as the account had been frozen already by their backend. There was nothing I could do to the account now , as it was in read only mode. I even received an official pass notification with information on what I needed to do next to get an official FTMO trading account. 20 hours later, I received another email from FTMO saying that my account was in breach. This was due to the two open trades which I could NOT CLOSE as FTMO had locked the account for any further transactions. Can someone explain why FTMO should not be regarded as a total scam and be closed down? I have the certificates and emails as proof of the scammers.

I received three payouts previously, but I recently tried a new challenge, which is $10,000. Unfortunately, I failed. I had a stop-loss set up at $300, but when the New York session opened, my stop-loss was triggered at $500. As a result, I didn't succeed in the challenge, even though I was only risking 3% of my account. I still believe it’s a solid platform, but I can’t help but feel disappointed.

I am writing this review to document a serious execution issue I experienced with FTMO during my active Verification phase. My account is not failed and not passed — it is still active — but I am unable to progress due to an abnormal trade execution that FTMO refuses to correct. On 28 November 2025, during the CME outage, I placed a Buy Stop on XAUUSD with a requested entry at 4193.18. However, FTMO executed the trade more than 240 pips below the requested price, at a level that never appeared on any real market feed. My Stop Loss was then triggered at the same incorrect price, causing an instant 240+ pip loss. FTMO claims this was due to spread widening and low liquidity, not a price spike. However: No such Bid/Ask prices appeared on MT5, TradingView, or IC Markets No independent market data supports FTMO’s execution FTMO has never provided full tick history as proof, only partial screenshots Because this is a paid evaluation, this execution directly affects my ability to pass Verification. FTMO’s refusal to adjust or settle this trade is effectively blocking progression in a service I paid for in good faith. I escalated this matter to: Czech National Bank (CNB) → They confirmed FTMO is unregulated Czech Trade Inspection Authority (ČOI) → They declined jurisdiction because FTMO classifies the relationship as business-to-business, not consumer This leaves traders with no regulator, no consumer protection, and no independent dispute resolution, despite paying for a service that simulates real trading conditions with real consequences. FTMO continues to send template replies,

I had a very bad experience with FTMO. I had a 100k evaluation and when I passed with 10% profit I didn’t get my phase 2 account so I spoke with the live chat and they said I had a breach in the max daily loss 12 days ago. First of all, on the mentioned day I lost less than 5% but somehow to them it’s above 5%. Secondly, all prop firms in the world stops the account and inform you by email that you breached a rule or failed however it didn’t happen here. The live support asked me to check account status in the dashboard and I sent her screenshots that the account is Active and Ongoing in green. Then she said there’s nothing we can do. I expressed my frustration here that if it truly happened (which it didn’t) and I was informed it would be totally fine. But to keep me trading all these days while the dashboard shows everything is good and after I request for phase2 they say this? It doesn’t make any sense to me. What made it worse is her trying to run in circles avoiding answering why is the dashboard contradicting what she is saying, then she just said something like: FTMO is an educational service provider so it doesn’t inform traders through email or whatsover, now how does this make any sense? Then she just ignored answering me then closed the chat. I emailed the support and they just sent a copy paste reply that doesn’t address the matter I am asking them: why does the FTMO dashboard contradict what they are saying? And again.. no clear answer here!

I want to express my deep disappointment and frustration with this funding company. I have met all the requested requirements, I have submitted every single necessary document on time and in proper form, and yet you continue to make excuses and create obstacles to deliver my live account. This situation is unacceptable and reeks of fraud. Every time I contact you, I receive a different response, always asking for "one more document" or inventing new requirements that were never mentioned initially. It is evident that you have no intention of fulfilling your part of the agreement. I have invested time, money, and effort in this process, trusting that this was a serious and legitimate company. But your behavior proves otherwise: unjustified delays, lack of transparency, and constant excuses to avoid delivering what is rightfully mine. I demand an immediate solution. If I do not receive my live account within a reasonable timeframe, I will have no choice but to escalate this complaint publicly, share my experience on social media and review platforms, and evaluate legal action for breach of contract and fraudulent practices. I expect an urgent and definitive response.

You can hide a name, but you cannot hide a government investigation or the server logs. Current Legal Status: My dispute is now an active administrative procedure led by the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (ČOI). Official Case Number: ČOI 2432/26/0100. The national regulator is now investigating FTMO’s 65-minute server blackout and their unfair refusal to compensate for the resulting execution failure. The Dispute Facts: On June 22, 2025, Account 510175482 suffered a $4,342.80 loss (442% slippage) due to a verified data gap on ETHUSD. MT5 logs show a 65-minute blackout where the platform failed to receive data, rendering stop-losses useless. FTMO's Team Leader dismissed this institutional error as "irrelevant," which left me no choice but to seek government intervention.

I passed the Challenge and Verification after a lot of effort, got funded, and was trading profitably. Out of nowhere, they accused me of "intentionally exploiting a temporary datafeed discrepancy" a clearly erroneous price that appeared on their own plataform. They only conducted a review after I had substantial profits, claiming violation of Clause 5.3 (forbidden trading practices). They cancelled an order and permanently terminated the account, despite previous analyses saying everything was compliant.The worst part: they openly admit those reports don't detect pricing errors, meaning they let traders proceed and build profits, then retroactively find an excuse not to pay. It feels like a calculated pattern to avoid payouts while collecting challenge fees.Their "goodwill" gesture? Allowing me to buy new challenges – i.e., pay them again. These one-sided clauses that punish traders for the company's own technical failures are clearly abusive.This industry urgently needs proper regulation to stop these unfair practices and provide real protection and security for traders. Without oversight, prop firms like FTMO can arbitrarily deny payouts using vague "forbidden practices" as a shield.Be very careful. A single glitch on their feed can wipe out all your hard work. Extremely frustrating and dishonest experience.
